While there is sustained focus for large cities in resolving problems with aging power grids, there is little effort in providing electricity to small remote villages around the world.
Why? The answer is simple.
Access to electricity by traditional means is very expensive, and if it did become available, the people would have no way to pay for it.
It is the proverbial catch-22 situation.
