Access to clean water and electricity in a small, remote village changes everything. Women
and children will no longer have to daily search for water and substances for fire. Freeing up
time during the day women can care for their families. Children will have time to receive
an education and play. Fathers will be able to provide for their families.
Meet Angie
She, and the ladies in this picture begin the day walking 5 miles for water. The trip takes 3 to 4 hours to complete. Once back home they rest. Sadly they are not finished. They go back out to find substances for fire to boil the water they have found so that it is safe to drink, and to cook food. And yet, the day is still not finished. There is still the need to find and prepare food. There is little time during the day for anything else. This is every day. There are no weekends for rest. There is no other option.
Transform Through WE is excited to bring WATER AND ELECTRICITY to this village in Kenya! Located not far from Mt. Kenya, this area is right on the equator. It is very hot, very dry climate that creates a daily struggle for the people that live here. Our solution will dramatically transform lives starting the first day!
